Students in Hmong Dance performed in May for the rest of the school.
Jackson Preparatory Magnet’s after school program offers both academic and
enrichment opportunities for students in grades 1 - 6. Academic classes are
designed primarily to serve children who are not at grade level in reading
and/or math, but all students are eligible to enroll. Participants receive one
hour of academic assistance along with one hour of enrichment every day.
Sign up for the Fall Session will begin in September
2009.*Students may join the
after school program at any point during the school year, but registration
forms must be returned one week before a child can begin
participating.
Fall enrichment classes include: Jump into Fitness, All about Art, Teen
Zine, Hmong Dance, and Science Adventures.
Each year, Jackson Preparatory Magnet collaborates with Washington Middle School to offer
opportunities for Jackson fifth and
sixth grade students to visit and take part in activities at Washington.
The program is designed to help our older students make the transition to
a middle school environment. Activities will include family nights
at Washington, intra-school
activities, and summer opportunities.
