compassionate thinkers. The
school’s core belief is that children come first. The school
demonstrates this by offering all children the opportunity for
acceleration to achieve their full
potential. Jackson's reading classes use Readers Workshop, a proven
curriculum that emphasizes small, achievement-based reading groups.
Jackson's
media center is the heart of the school, and is visited daily by all
children for reading and research purposes. The school also offers
accelerated math classes. The school-wide geography curriculum is
unique to our building. Jackson encourages parent involvement and
strives for a partnership between home, school and community. The
school is able to nurture children as individuals and engage them in a
learning process which emphasizes academic rigor and growth in a small,
friendly close-knit community.
